Welcome to Trap Cardio, a dance fitness format with soul! We believe that we are for everybody and every BODY! In this space, our culture is defined by four Trap Cardio Commandments:

1. We refer to each other as "Cousin", we are all here in the name of fitness, family, and fun

2. This class is about progress, not perfection... Don't get lost in left, right, up, down; just have fun!

3. If the beat takes you somewhere we are not, go there! Someone will go there with you!

4. We don't wait for the beat to drop, we drop the beat! In short, we are leaders and we set the tone!

5 Classes for $40 (Value: $75)
For the ones who stay booked and busy, but still make room to move.
This tier is for folks who might only hit one class a week but still want flexibility.
This tier gives you 5 classes of your choice each month, plus a bonus class to account for 5-week months at no extra charge. You’ll also get full access to our on-demand library, livestreams,

Yes, getting in with my cousins on Sunday morning before the snow starts falling here in Philly.  Thank you keeping my 69yr old almost 70yearold (Jan 30th) body going! So happy I joined versus relying on You tube after all these years. I appreciate the energy from all my cousins and ambassadors in class. Until the next class - Peace!

Trap Cardio is a dance fitness format that promotes wellness, confidence and leadership from the inside out with a focus on urban communities. We refuse to be trapped by our insecurities; shame and pity don’t exist in this space. Trap Cardio promotes body positivity and loving yourself as you evolve into your best self. And the music? Everything from Afrobeat to Hip Hop. Trap Cardio is not just another dance class, it’s a cultural experience.



What is Trap Cardio

Hey y’all! I’m Ashley, aka “A.D.”—Richmond, VA born and raised. I’m a wife, mom, and proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Spring '23). I hold a BA in English, an MBA in Accounting, and I’m an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor.

I started as a dance fitness student, but when I couldn’t find a space that felt culturally connected or body-inclusive, I created my own—Trap Cardio.

After losing my dad to Type 2 Diabetes in 2005, I made wellness my mission. I’ve lived in a body as heavy as 325 lbs and as light as 189. Now, I’m bringing wellness to urban communities while sharing my journey from government auditor to full-time entrepreneur. My work is rooted in transparency, grace, and the belief that you can love yourself now while still becoming greater.
