Heyyyy boo!! 👻

I'm Leighann! A 4'11" powerhouse with a love for Halloween, rock n' roll music, and workouts that hit harder than a Metallica guitar riff. I’m not your average trainer. I don’t do boring. I don’t do basic. I bring the fire with every workout, mixing hardcore training with high energy dance, booty shaking vibes, and a “hell yes” attitude that’ll leave you sweaty, smiling, and stronger than ever.

As a certified nutrition coach, personal trainer, and the creator of Level Up BURN Dance Fitness & Level Up BUILD, I’ve helped women unleash their inner bad bitch, break through limits, and build confidence that radiates on and off the dance floor. Whether you’re joining me in-person or online, my programs are all about results, empowerment, and having a damn good time.

This is your wake up call. If you’re tired of cookie cutter workouts, soul sucking routines, or trainers who don’t get your vibe...you’re in the right place.

I'm not here to baby you and let you continue to make excuses. I'm here to push you, hype you up, and help you become the strongest, baddest version of yourself, inside and out. Whether you're dripping sweat in a virtual class or living your best life in my in-person classes, my workouts are designed to ignite your fire and keep you coming back for more. 

Some fun facts about me....
I love anything spooky (especially Halloween). A true Scorpio through and through, I thrive off Dark Romance books, anything paranormal, and Rock n' Roll (thanks dad). 
My drink of choice is always RedBull and I can eat pizza everyday of the week if you let me. My favorite movie is Night at the Roxbury and my favorite song is Dream On by Aerosmith.

I was searching for a dance fitness class that would meet my expectations and a strength class that I desperately need, and I hit the jackpot when I found Leighann Marie Word! The Build class is always uniquely themed and fun, but you get a full body strength workout that sometimes "sneeks up" on you! The Burn and TurnUp classes are the bomb! Leighann makes it fun and her energy is contagious! It feels like you're at a dance party with your friends instead of getting a killer cardio and full body workout! All of Leighann's classes are amazing! She truly cares about her "students" and it is obvious in her encouragement and the deliberate thought she puts into each workout. If you are looking for a class with NO judgment and an instructor who is honest, real and will be your motivator then Leighann is it! She may appear to be a little firecracker who lights up the room, but she's really a stick of dynamite that causes the room to explode! ❤️

A little over 6 years ago I saw a post on Facebook and thought, now that sounds like it might be fun, even though I can’t dance to save my life. Fast forward to now and I still can’t dance, but never have I ever felt unwelcome or judged! I’ve also learned that I am stronger than I think and can do hard things. Even if I have to modify the heck out of a movement because my body is like, nope, I’m still doing the dang thing. And if I fall off the wagon for a while and try to get back on, as Leighann once told me: “All progress is not lost”. I LOVE YOU Leighann Marie Word!!!

I really don’t even know where to begin…. Stepping into your class as a senior in high school, I didn’t know what to expect. I was so shy and knew nothing about fitness (other than my softball workouts) moving away for college in NC, I felt lost without going to your classes every day, I didn’t know how to navigate fitness on my own. Coming back to your classes on my breaks, it felt like home, I looked forward to every class that I was able to come to in those short amount of times.

Fast forward to now 8 YEARS LATER, I am such a different person. I am comfortable in my own skin, I have confidence like I have never had before, I feel like I am back at home and it is all because of your love and encouragement that you have poured into me over these years. I dont know where I would be if I didn’t walk into your class years ago.

Classes fill fast—and once you're in, you're in. This is your moment to move, connect, and grow with a squad that brings it every time.
