Josh Montes

I am Coach Monster, a human bent on changing how people view fitness. I specialize in steel mace flow, kettlebells, animal flow, and landmine. I aim to educate others on the importance of finding a fitness modality that best serves their lifestyle and helping them find a love for movement.

My name "Monster" comes from my last name, Montes, but it's built on the idea that deep inside of us lies an inhuman level of potential just waiting to break out. Once that happens, we realize what our true strengths are. I am on a journey to help others unleash their inner "Monster."

Virtual Class Credits

Spend 10 sessions with me learning foundations of Steel Mace Flow and how to use them to progress to advanced techniques. Every position and transition is just a variation of the original landmarks taught in the Level 1 Steel Mace Flow education. Here is your chance to see how the foundations become the beautiful transitions that will lead to more expressive free flow and flow creations.

You have the option to pick my brain about certain concepts in flow regarding Steel Mace Flow Levels 1 and 2 as well as learning specific moves/transitions. Holy moly that was fun! I've been messing around with a mace for about five months now, and in one hour, I learned more technique and flow concepts than I had in hours of YouTube research. The quality and quantity of material coach Josh teaches is amazing. Also his teaching style is very easy to follow despite the class being 100 percent online. I had no problem following along!

Excellent class. Demonstration, corrections were clear. Great acknowledgment individually when needed.  

Excellent instruction. Coach Monster introduced advanced sword flows in a step by step manner and gave good personal attention to all the participants, including corrections and adjustments where needed. I look forward to taking more courses with him.
